Explore wildlife in Pohatu and enjoy kayaking, hiking, and an evening tour to watch the penguins. Your day will start with an enjoyable ride to Pohatu with many photo stops and lots of insightful information provided by the experienced guide. After arrival in the bay, set up for a kayaking trip that will give you the opportunity to spot fur seals, dolphins, penguins, and many sea birds. When kayaking is over, there will be free time until the evening tour starts. Relax and feel free to use the shower and kitchen facilities, in case you want to cook your dinner. Alternatively, you can explore some of the walking tracks of the ancient forest. In the evening, follow your knowledgeable guide into hiking on the hills and spot from above the penguins socializing in the water. You might even get lucky and have the chance to see penguins coming ashore just before nightfall. Before it gets dark, we are departing as this is penguin hour and we do not want to disturb them. This is a unique experience that will remain unforgettable.
